Moorhead vs. Grand Rapids

Hell, I don't even remember the score!
We did get stranded in Roseau during the snow storm though. We had to stay until Monday and school was cancelled. That means Cassie got an extra day home alone and Brenna got an extra day with Grandma. Me, I just got an extra day of headaches. Still haven't been able to shake my cold I got right before we went to Puerto Rico.

Moorhead vs. Sauk Rapids

Next we played Sauk Rapids. Lets just say we're getting better? (10-0)

Hockey in Roseau

Last weekend we ventured up to Roseau for a U12 Hockey Tournament. First we played Thief River Falls and a couple girls from our Wildcats summer hockey team. Lets just say we didn't win (12-0)

Friday and Saturday

Well, today is Saturday and we finally made it home. It's nice to go on vacation but it is equally as nice coming home. The dogs were happy to see us and I imagine Izzy will too when we pick her up tomorrow.

Friday we spent the day at the beach again. The girls went parasailing about 350 feet in the air. Andy took pictures while on the boat and mom watched from the beach. I will post these pics and our return trip home pic tomorrow if I wake up.

Thanks to everyone for visiting our site everyday and keeping up with the Mjoness' (yeah, I know at times that's hard to do!). We appreciate the interest in our lives other than at the hockey arena.

The two hour time change feels like a million years. Right now, we all would be sacked out in bed in our cozy hotel room. We all got up about 6:30a San Juan time (4:30a here!)and got the day started. We made all our flights and they were on time except for the one from Mpls to Fargo. Of course that one had to be about and hour late. Needless to say, we are all dead tired and am just too lazy to unpack. I for one, am going to bed!

Wednesday

Today was just a "hang out day." Mom, Cassie and Brenna did a little more shopping, Andy and Micaela chilled back at the hotel. Really didn't do much since it was raining and cloudy out. More for Thursday if the rain clears up.

UPDATE:

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Cassie was not feeling well so she stayed back at the hotel while the rest of us ventured out to Ponderosa for dinner and then to Baskin Robbins. Yeah I know, real authentic puerto rican food. Whatever happened to a free meal on your birthday? I didn't even get a birthday song! Sheez, not very "American" of you puerto ricans. Andy enlightened me and played bar bingo in the hotel lounge for my birthday. We didn't win but let's just say they noticed we were not natives.

Tuesday

Not much to report today. Cassie and I took the car and went back to Old San Juan to do more shopping and visit the Human Bodies Exhibit. That is the one that has real human bodies cut up so you can take a better look at all the body parts. It was quite interesting and gross. It also showed babies at 4 weeks to 4 months in development, a baby with spina bifida and one with a cleft lip. I was totally not interested in the bodies but the babies were very interesing. While Cassie and I were shopping, Andy, Micaela and Brenna spent more time at the beach. They bought boogie boards and the girls learned to ride the waves. Lets just say Micaela better stick with hockey. Brenna didn't seem to have a problem though. But then again, she is good at just about everything she does. Tomorrow we all venture back to the beach so the girls can go parasailing. I will update with more pics tomorrow.

Monday in Puerto Rico

Today we went to two different shopping centers and the rain forest. After driving 12 miles uphill, Cassie and I were not up to walking anymore. That and Andy's driving on the winding roads made us car sick. So, Cassie and I ended up spending about 3 hours in the car doing nothing. Cassie napped and I watched "The Santa Claus." Andy, Micaela and Brenna did the hike up and got drenched in the process. Despite being hot and beautiful on the main land, it was raining cats and dogs in the rain forest. Hence the name "rain forest." Hahahahahaha
