Last night Micaela's hockey team had a friendly game against the Dads. Brenna got to play on the kids team as well. Afterwards, we all went out to Gio's for pizza and pop. I believe a good time was had by all.

UND and State Hockey

This past weekend was a busy one for all of us. The Mjonesses and Storms got tickets to a UND playoff game and that's where we headed on Friday night. The Sioux were winning 4-2 with 10 minutes left in the third period so we decided to ditch out early and head over to a friends house to watch the rest of the Moorhead Spuds semi final game. Andy and Gary then headed off to Bemidji with Bri and Micaela because they had superseries practice the next day. Rach and I headed home with Brenna and Austin. While on the way home, some husbands came up with the brilliant idea that they wanted to attend the championship game in Mpls for Moorhead. After making some phone calls, it was decided Racheal and I would leave Moorhead around 6a to head down to the cities to go stand in line for tickets. Anybody that know me, knows that I am NOT a morning person and hate to drive in the cities. After a couple stops and wrong turns, we got there around 945a to go stand in line. Tickets went on sale at 11a so we were not there long. After getting tickets and visiting the hockey expo, we headed to our good friend Joe's house. Joe was kind enough to give us a place to crash......all 13 of us.
The Spuds ended up losing but we had a great time.

Hockey, Silver Bay and Misc

Last weekend we were in Silver Bay Mn for Micaela's hockey regionals. Let's just say we did more sightseeing than winning. I knew the weekend was going to be bad from the start. I forgot my tennis shoes at home. I was stuck wearing slippers which would not normally bother me but since the snow was melting and it was raining out, slippers are not the best things to wear. Thank god Racheal was coming down later and stopped at home to get my shoes.

Last night we went out to dinner and bowling for my nephew Shaun's 18th birthday. Micaela had a great time dancing in between frames and Brenna actually got pretty good at bowling. She got a couple strikes but none with the colored head pin. We didn't get home until midnight so all of us were pooped.

Brenna got "the call" today. The Superseries coach for U9 called and asked Brenna to play for him. So, Brenna and Micaela will be playing in the cities that weekend (yeah more games for Bootsie and Joe). I believe Grandma plans on being there that weekend so she will get more hockey action also!

Cats

The girls and I went to the musical "Cats" tonight. To say the least, 4 out of 5 of us were bored. Micaela is the only one who enjoyed it. We left during intermission it was that bad.

Updates

This is Izzy affectionately known as "Dizzy" to us. You really can't see it but she has snow on her nose. Whenever she goes out, she loves to dig in the snow with her face. Weird dog.

This is a picture of the hat Brenna had made. Since just about everyone calls Micaela "Mojo" (including Brenna), she decided this was the next best thing.

Micaela is playing in Elites and Superseries again this year. Andy will be the coach for both I believe. Brenna might also play in Superseries. Andy talked to the coach for the U9's and threw out B's name so cross your fingers that she gets asked!

I keep telling my dad to get a house in Blaine so we would have a place to stay for free since we are down there so often. I also told him he could rent it out to other Moorhead people too. He didn't go for it.

I am on the hunt for a new house for Poppy though. He finally took the initiative to look at a book and pick out a couple houses he wanted me to get more info on. We went and saw one a couple weeks ago that was very nice. It had a sand volleyball court, shed, heated garage and four bedrooms. It was PERFECT for Poppy. However, you all know how he likes to keep his money close and denied the purchase. I have an appointment next week to look at another one. Hopefully we can find him something before the spring so he can get all settled and I can pick out all the furniture. I am really good at spending other people's money!
