2 out of 3 ain't bad

The U10 Minnkota Wildcats had their third tournament of the summer this past weekend here in Fargo/Moorhead. On Friday, they beat the Metro Grizzlies 12-0 and then got beat by the Winnipeg Royals 7-3 (Pam missed that game being the American Ambassador to the Canadians and showing them our wonderful healthcare system). Right before the game, one of the Canadian players got her finger caught in a door so Pam took the player and her mother to the ER where she sat for 2 1/2 hours waiting for them to be finished. You're a good man Charlie Brown. Saturday, they played the Minnesota Blades and won 5-4. That game should have been 5-2 however a couple of our girls decided to help the other team out by deflecting a couple shots right into our net! The evening ended with the Manitoba Lightning losing 5-1 Pam went back to the hospital that night too but with one of our players). Sunday it was back to the drawing board with the Winnipeg Royals. The score did not reflect what a great game it really was. I believe the game was intense, physical and at times emotional. Our goalies did a phenominal job.
The Storms hosted a picnic for the U10 and U12's on Saturday which was a lot of fun. Beautiful day, great food, shaving Coleman's (goalie coach) hair. I think a good time was had by all. We had two girls come from Cloquet, one from Silver Bay and one from Centerville. That's dedication. The Wildcats Board of Directors really appreciates all the hard work you girls put into it and the parents for allowing their daughters to play.
Side note, Brenna scored her first "real" game goal on Friday. It was really exciting to see her get so pumped up and Cassie cry for her baby sister. I think all the parents were proud of her knowing she is the youngest, littlest and least talented out of the bunch. Way to go B !!!!!!
No pics were taken at this tournament because Gary was on the bench helping Andy coach and Racheal and I got too much into watching the game to remember to take pics.
Brenna is in her last week of West Fargo Hockey Camp. Grandma Nancy has been picking her up early every morning for the last three weeks and bringing her there. Thanks Grandma.
Micaela is attending Noonan Strength Systems again trying to "bulk" up and also does puck shooting for the Moorhead Youth Hockey puck challenge and the Wildcats puck challenge as well. She heads up to Warroad right after the 4th of July to attend hockey camp there. She is very excited.
Cassie has been helping out with the Wildcats practices along with Brittany and goalie coach Cole. She has also been putting in alot of hours at NDSU since she has to pay for her own gas this summer.
Most of you know and for those who don't, Andy bought a motorcycle without asking Pam so Pam went out and bought a convertible without asking Andy. The reason for both was better gas mileage than the Durango and the Suburban. That's all for now.

The girls did a phenomenal job!! Brenna's goal brought down the house. The team she scored against has players from her hockey camp on it. They were very impressed with her and told her so this AM at camp. It was a great weekend, Grandma and Grandpa had fun watching and are constantly impressed with the girls improvements and hard work!! If it wasn't for all of our terrific grandchildren, we'd lead a VERY dull life. WAY TO GO WILDCATS! It was a great team.

I am happy to hear you guys did so well. You should be very proud of your hockey goddesses. Pam, did you get another Chrysler? Or did you get a Mercedes this time? Can the Andy and Pam Mjoness' family say "Mid-life crisis?"

Are you trying to make fun of me/us Big Daddy? At least we get better gas mileage now and STILL look good!
