Something new.......

As many of you know, I was taken to the hospital last week via the ambulance. I had gone to Brenna's softball game that night and then onto Andy and Cassie's. We arrived home late and I changed into my pj's and was running around cleaning up, loading laundry etc, when I started to feel really hot and dizzy. My tunnel vision was starting to set in so I yelled for Micaela and Cassie. Don't really remember much after that, except the ambulance ride. For some strange reason, I was not able to talk or move at all. I was blinking and aware of things around me in the ambulance but was completely immobile. They diagnosed me with low potassium and severe dehydration. I have been seeing a "fat" doctor for a couple months now and she has me on a millions different drugs including one for potassium so this kinda surprised me. I didn't realize I was dehydrated at all because let's face it, I'm a bigger girl with lotsa jiggle so I thought I was hydrated enough. I spent the weekend pretty low key attending my nephew Matt's baseball game and hanging around the house at the lake. I am feeling better now with the exception of this nasty summer cold I caught from Brenna and still feeling a little tired. Micaela asks me everyday if I have eaten my bananas and drank my water. I pee so many times at work in one day that they will definately see their water bill rise!

My co-workers were great about texting me to see how I was feeling all weekend and even had a couple visitors while I was in the ER. Lt Chris Carey, from the Moorhead PD came to the hospital. I guess one of the officers (Nick) that responded to our house notified Lt Carey that the medical involved me. I didn't get a chance to see or talk to Chris at that time but I want to thank him for his concern and for just being there. Also, Officers Nick Leinen (Nacho) and Officer Katie Scholla for responding. I wasn't aware you were there and helped, but I thank you. I didn't get the names of the ambulance personnel but they were great. I only interacted with the girl but she was really nice and kept calling me by name instead of "Ma'am (which I hate) or lady or......well, you can think of a couple more things I can be called. The nursing staff and ER doc at Innovis were genuinley kind and compassionate. When I asked about my kids, they went to the waiting room and got them immediately.

My BFF Ajor also came to the hospital after working her 10 hour shift. She works down at Regional Dispatch where I used to work. She can always make me laugh and that night was no exception. She is just as wacky as me and has an even more weird sense of humor than I. Many funny memories are with her. Late night breakfast runs, stupid ass movies she drags me to and trying to get me to excercise.........anyways thanks for being there bisch hor............
